Brighten an older adult's Hanukkah with Light-One-Night.
DOROT connects volunteers with older adults to share the holiday traditions over Zoom and deliver a festive package. All you need to bring is your smile!
Volunteers can drop off the package and stay for a friendly visit or check in with the adult via phone or Zoom after dropping off to wish the senior happy holidays.
Westchester: Individual Adults or Family Volunteers
Pick up your package at DOROT Westchester (925 Westchester Avenue, White Plains) before your visit on one of the following days – Tuesday, 12/13 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Wednesday 12/14 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Age: Adults ages 18+ or families with children ages 5 or older. .
Requirements: Participating adults provide a valid, US-government-issued photo ID.

Manhattan: Family Volunteers Only
Pick up your package at DOROT (171 W 85th St.) before your visit on one of the following days - Thursday 12/15 9:00 am - 6:oo pm, Friday 12/16 9:00 am - 4:00 pm or Monday 12/19 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Age: Family with children ages 5 or older.
Time Commitment: One hour for a virtual or in-person visit.
Requirements: Participating adults provide a valid, US-government-issued photo ID.
Dates: Sunday, December 18th, 2022, 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm OR Tuesday, December 20th, 2022, 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
